These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Glowmate (“Glowmate,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including our website, app, onboarding flow, skincare report, and related services.
By accessing or using Glowmate, creating an account, uploading photos, completing the questionnaire, purchasing a report, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Glowmate.
1. About Glowmate
Glowmate provides AI-assisted cosmetic skincare education based on user-submitted photos and questionnaire answers.
Glowmate may provide information such as visible cosmetic skin observations, skin profile summaries, ingredient-fit guidance, routine suggestions, and educational skincare recommendations.
Glowmate is not a medical service, healthcare provider, dermatologist, pharmacy, prescription service, or emergency healthcare service.

3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Glowmate.
By using Glowmate, you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to enter into these Terms.
Glowmate is not intended for children or teenagers under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has used the service, we may delete the related account, photos, reports, and other information.
4. No medical advice
Glowmate provides educational cosmetic skincare guidance only.
Glowmate does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, medical recommendations, or emergency healthcare services.
The skincare report is generated based on your uploaded photos, questionnaire answers, and AI-assisted analysis. It may be incomplete, inaccurate, or affected by lighting, image quality, camera angle, makeup, skincare products, facial expression, or incomplete questionnaire answers.
You should not use Glowmate as a substitute for a dermatologist, doctor, pharmacist, or qualified healthcare professional.
You should consult a dermatologist or qualified healthcare professional if you have concerns such as severe acne, painful irritation, rash, infection, allergic reaction, bleeding, sudden skin changes, changing moles, or any condition that may require medical attention.
If you believe you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
5. AI-generated content and limitations
Glowmate uses AI and other software systems to generate skincare-related educational content.
AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or suggestions that are not suitable for your individual situation. You are responsible for reviewing the information carefully and deciding whether to follow any suggestions.
Glowmate does not guarantee that any recommendation, ingredient suggestion, product suggestion, routine, or skincare information will produce specific results.
Any references to skin improvement timelines, skincare outcomes, or expected results are general educational estimates only and are not guarantees.
6. User responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete questionnaire answers - Upload only your own photos or photos you have the legal right to upload - Use clear and appropriate photos for the purpose of generating your report - Use the service only for personal, lawful, non-commercial purposes - Review all skincare suggestions carefully before applying them - Patch test new products where appropriate - Stop using any product that causes irritation and seek professional advice where needed - Keep your login credentials secure, if account access is enabled
You agree not to:
- Use Glowmate for medical diagnosis or treatment decisions - Upload photos of anyone else without their permission - Upload photos of minors - Upload illegal, abusive, explicit, harmful, or misleading content - Reverse engineer, copy, scrape, disrupt, attack, overload, or misuse the service - Attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, security measures, or usage limits - Use Glowmate to build or train a competing product without our permission - Misrepresent your identity or payment information
7. Photo upload and consent
Before uploading photos, you may be asked to provide explicit consent for Glowmate to process your photos and questionnaire answers for the purpose of generating your personalized skincare report.
You understand that uploaded photos and questionnaire answers may include skin-related information.
You also acknowledge that Glowmate provides educational cosmetic skincare guidance only and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, prescriptions, or emergency healthcare services.
Our processing of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Accounts
Glowmate may allow or require you to create an account to access your report, paid content, or saved results.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
We may suspend, restrict, or delete accounts that violate these Terms, misuse the service, create security risks, or are required to be removed for legal or operational reasons.
9. Purchases and payments
Some parts of Glowmate may require payment, including paid reports, full report access, subscriptions, add-ons, or other digital products.
Prices are shown before purchase. Prices may be displayed in USD or another currency depending on the checkout setup.
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider. We do not store your full card number.
By purchasing, you authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for the price shown at checkout, including any applicable taxes, fees, or currency conversion charges.
Access to paid content may depend on successful payment confirmation.
10. Digital content and delivery
Glowmate reports and related paid features are digital content.
After payment, we aim to provide access to the purchased digital report or feature as soon as technically possible.
Delivery may be delayed due to technical issues, payment verification, AI-provider availability, image-processing errors, or other operational reasons.

11. Refund policy
Because Glowmate provides digital content, purchases are generally final once report generation or access to paid digital content has started.
Refunds are not guaranteed for dissatisfaction with the report, disagreement with AI-generated suggestions, failure to achieve skincare results, or user error.
However, we may review refund requests in cases such as duplicate charges, payment errors, non-delivery caused by a technical issue, or other circumstances where a refund is required by applicable law.
To request support regarding a payment issue, contact glowmateapp@gmail.com with the email address used for purchase and a short description of the issue.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Subscriptions, if offered
Glowmate may offer subscriptions in the future.
If you purchase a subscription, the price, billing period, renewal terms, and cancellation method will be shown before purchase.
Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. You are responsible for cancelling before renewal if you do not want to be charged again.
If subscriptions are not currently offered, this section applies only if subscription features are later introduced.
13. Discount codes and promotions
Glowmate may offer discount codes, launch offers, promotional prices, or limited-time deals.
Promotions may be changed, limited, or discontinued at any time.
Discount codes may have restrictions, expiration dates, usage limits, or eligibility requirements.
Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be exchanged for cash, combined with other offers, or applied retroactively to previous purchases.
14. Skincare results and product suggestions
Glowmate may suggest ingredients, skincare categories, routine structures, or product-related guidance.
Glowmate does not guarantee that suggested ingredients, products, routines, or actions will be suitable for every user.
You are responsible for checking product labels, allergens, ingredient lists, warnings, usage instructions, and suitability for your skin.
Glowmate is not responsible for reactions, irritation, breakouts, allergic responses, or other outcomes resulting from your use of products, ingredients, or routines based on the report.
If you experience irritation, stop using the product and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
15. Privacy
Your use of Glowmate is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, which service providers we use, and what rights you may have.
By using Glowmate, you acknowledge that you have read the Privacy Policy.
16. Intellectual property
Glowmate, including its website, app design, branding, copy, software, workflows, report structure, visual elements, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may use Glowmate only for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from Glowmate without our written permission.
17. Your content
You retain any rights you have in the photos, questionnaire answers, and other content you submit to Glowmate.
By submitting content, you grant Glowmate a limited right to process, store, transmit, analyze, and display that content solely as necessary to provide, secure, support, and improve the service, comply with legal obligations, and enforce these Terms.
You confirm that you have the right to submit any content you upload.
18. Availability and changes to the service
Glowmate is an MVP-stage product and may change frequently.
We may modify, suspend, discontinue, limit, or remove any part of the service at any time.
We do not guarantee that Glowmate will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or compatible with every device or browser.
We may update the onboarding flow, paywalls, report structure, pricing, features, or service providers at any time.
19. Beta / MVP disclaimer
Glowmate may be offered as an early-stage, experimental, or MVP product.
You understand that the service may contain bugs, incomplete features, design limitations, or temporary issues.
We may use feedback, support requests, and aggregated usage learnings to improve the product.
20. Prohibited uses
You may not use Glowmate to:
- Violate any law or regulation - Upload unlawful, harmful, abusive, explicit, or non-consensual content - Upload photos of minors - Infringe anyone’s rights - Harass, abuse, impersonate, or harm others - Interfere with the operation or security of the service - Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, databases, or payment flows - Circumvent payment, usage, or access restrictions - Use automated systems to scrape, copy, or overload the service - Use the service for medical diagnosis, emergency decisions, or treatment decisions
21. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Glowmate if:
- You violate these Terms - You misuse the service - Your payment fails or is disputed - We need to protect the service, other users, or our legal interests - We are required to do so by law - We discontinue the service
You may stop using Glowmate at any time.
You may request deletion of your data by contacting glowmateapp@gmail.com.
22. Disclaimers
Glowmate is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, non-infringement, availability, and reliability.
We do not guarantee that:
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free - The report will be accurate, complete, or suitable for you - Any skincare suggestion will produce a specific result - Any product, routine, or ingredient will be safe or effective for your skin - The service will detect or identify any skin condition, disease, or medical issue
23. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glowmate and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, personal dissatisfaction, or skincare outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Glowmate will not exceed the amount you paid to Glowmate for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health where applicable law does not allow limitation, or mandatory consumer rights.
24. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Glowmate and its operator harmless from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or violation of third-party rights.
25. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country or state of residence provide otherwise.
If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections of the law of your country or state of residence.
26. Consumer dispute resolution
We are not obligated or willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
27. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may notify users through the app, website, or email where appropriate.
The updated Terms will apply from the date they are posted, unless a later date is stated.
Your continued use of Glowmate after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
